Joint management/trade union training: a mechanism to make social negotiations more successful

France is facing one of the most serious economic crises in decades. Renewed social dialogue is vital if we are to preserve the long-term viability of our businesses and limit job losses. In this interview, Michel Ghazal talks about the first experiments in joint training in social negotiation that he has conducted. By teaching all those involved in negotiations to adopt the same approach, the chances of reaching a mutually beneficial agreement are increased tenfold. But is this a universal solution? What conditions need to be in place to ensure their acceptance and success? How can we overcome the reluctance to implement them?
